Research Institutes

Ongoing dialogs with excellent research facilities is very important to Rohde & Schwarz Cybersecurity. Technology research taking place today forms the basis for future innovation. Collaboration with outstanding research institutions helps us continually improve our products, optimize our development processes and increase development efficiency and quality.

Fraunhofer FOKUS

Fraunhofer FOKUS develops solutions for the communication systems of tomorrow. As an independent research body the institute explores how communication networks will contribute to a more convenient and more secure living. Thus, the institute addresses important challenges in the society, including access to information, economic and sustainable use of resources, smart mobility and a modern governmental administration that is efficient as well as accessible from everywhere. Fraunhofer FOKUS is an important link between industry, governmental administration and the people.

With 25 years of experience, the institute is one of the most important international ICT research partners.

CISPA Saarbrücken

The Center for IT-Security, Privacy, and Accountability (short: CISPA) was founded in October 2011 as a competence center for IT security at Saarland University. It is a joint endeavor of Saarland University (UdS) and its on-site partner institutions: the Max Planck Institute for Informatics (MPI-INF), the Max Planck Institute for Software Systems (MPI-SWS), and the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI). Cyber security is the cross-cutting theme of central importance for all these institutions.

CASED

Darmstadt is the site of an internationally important cluster for IT security research and development. Computer scientists, engineers, physicists, lawyers and business management at the TU Darmstadt, Fraunhofer SIT, and the Darmstadt University work together to develop  IT security solutions and promote economic recovery.

Institute for Internet Security

The Institute for Internet Security is an innovative, independent, academic institution of the Gelsenkirchen University of Applied Sciences. In addition to research and development, they are a creative service in the field of Internet security.

Fraunhofer IBMT

The Fraunhofer Institute for Biomedical Engineering IBMT is your partner when it comes to solving  individual tasks in the areas of biomedical/medical techniques, sensor and measurement technology, ultrasound technology, health telematics, bio technology, molecular technology and much more.

Fraunhofer SIT

Fraunhofer SIT is concerned with all aspects of IT security. It offers customized services and turnkey solutions for businesses and the public sector. Many successful projects with international partners impressively demonstrate the trustworthy and reliable cooperation.

HGI

The Horst Görtz Institute (HGI), with ten professors from the fields of electrical engineering, information technology, mathematics, e-business and law, and currently 50 scientists, is one of the largest and most prestigious higher education institutions for this field in Europe.

DFKI

The German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (GmbH) in Kaiserslautern, Saarbrücken, Bremen and a project office in Berlin is the leading research institution in Germany in the field of innovative software technology.

Fraunhofer IESE

The Fraunhofer Institute for Experimental Software Engineering (IESE) enjoys a worldwide reputation for methods and processes for industrial software and systems development based on empirical evidence. Regardless of whether software is embedded in cars, planes or medical devices, whether it is part of a larger system or applied autonomously, our cross-domain project work is always based on state-of-the-art scientific knowledge, advanced technologies and tools. This is how the institute safeguards the quality of highly integrated systems solutions in which software increasingly becomes the part that adds value to a product.

Fraunhofer ESK

Fraunhofer ESK undertakes applied research geared toward new information and communications technology (ICT) processes and methods. Activities focus on designing these increasingly distributed, heterogeneous and networked ICT systems to be more reliable, flexible and resource efficient, ensuring that they contribute to improved products and production environments in the industries such as automobile and traffic, energy, automation, building and security engineering and telecommunications.
