Rohde & Schwarz Cybersecurity Introduces New R&S Unified Firewalls Firewall Line

Integrated DPI technology and SSL inspection proactively block encrypted cyberattacks and hidden malware

IT security expert Rohde & Schwarz Cybersecurity is expanding its product portfolio with a new firewall line. The R&S Unified Firewalls will be presented at CEBIT 2018: Hall 12 / Booth B06.

With increasing cyber risks, the demands on corporate security, data protection and the availability of complex IT systems are increasing. The new firewall versions, R&S Unified Firewalls from Rohde & Schwarz Cybersecurity, meet these challenges and combine innovative security technology with high user-friendliness.

The integration of DPI technology and SSL inspection provides transparent insight into IP-based network traffic and enables highly accurate classification of network protocols. This makes it possible to configure fine-grained security policies, for example for the use of certain applications such as streaming services or browsers. By using DPI technology, only qualified data packets pass through the firewall. False alarms due to false positives are thus excluded. With the integrated SSL inspection, application detection and filtering can also be performed on encrypted data packets. Encrypted cyberattacks and hidden malware are thus proactively blocked.

Intuitive web interface and web-based command center

An improved web interface allows you to set security policies from any browser. In an emergency, users can quickly access the administration interface, even via tablet and smartphone, and flexibly adapt security policies. The user-friendly design of the web interface ensures uncomplicated configuration. This eliminates one of the main causes of security vulnerabilities. The web-based Command Center enables convenient administration of multiple firewalls from any browser. Security events can be responded to quickly and effectively. The Command Center provides direct access to the firewalls in use and allows central control of backups and updates.
